Job summary

The Wave is seeking two reliable Multi-Site Maintenance Staff/Caretakers to keep our academies in top condition. In this hands-on role, you’ll run planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety, compliance and smooth operation of our educational spaces.

You will bring practical skills across carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drainage, lock fixing, and painting, with a solid understanding of health and safety and COSHH.

Qualifications

• Two skilled and dependable maintenance staff to undertake planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience across building maintenance tasks (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, grounds upkeep).
• Strong health & safety awareness and knowledge of COSHH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to keep buildings safe and compliant.
• Perform routine checks and essential repairs to support educational environments.
• Supervise contractors and coordinate with Estates Team on site security and grounds upkeep.
• Maintain records of maintenance work and safety checks.

Hours - 20 hours per week - Monday to Friday - Times to be agreed

We are seeking two skilled and dependable Multi-Site Maintenance Staff/Caretakers to help maintain our academies to an exceptional standard. In this hands-on role, they will organise and carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring our buildings remain safe, compliant, and in optimum working condition. From routine checks to essential repairs, their work will directly support the smooth running of our educational environments.

Candidates will bring strong practical skills and experience across a range of building maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drainage, lock fixing, and painting and decorating. A good understanding of the challenges involved in maintaining an educational setting would be beneficial.

Alongside technical ability, you will demonstrate strong awareness of Health & Safety, COSHH regulations, risk management, record-keeping, contractor supervision, site security, and the ongoing upkeep of grounds and external areas. You will communicate effectively, interact professionally with staff and visitors, and play an essential role within our wider Estates Team.
