Job summary

Steatite Limited is seeking a hands-on HSE professional to join our multi-site engineering group in the UK. You will ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation, conduct audits and risk assessments, and provide practical guidance to site leadership.

You’ll support statutory inspections, drive continuous improvement, and engage staff through toolbox talks and campaigns while promoting a safe culture across our operations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate required as a minimum.
• IOSH or equivalent HSE qualification desirable.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing/workshop HSE settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and environmental regulations.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Provide practical HSE guidance and influence site leadership.
• Support maintenance of statutory inspections, PPM schedules, and contractor management.
• Drive continuous improvement and HSE initiatives across multi-site operations.
• Assist in safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.
