Job summary

Circle Health Group in Stockport and across Circle Cheshire Clinic and Fairfield Independent Hospital is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering department on a full-time 37.5-hour week contract.

The successful candidate will cover three locations, complete work orders for maintenance and breakdowns, and provide technical and safety support while mentoring other technicians and liaising with hospital management.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card at appropriate level; ECS Card if electrically qualified
• City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering essential
• Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required is essential
• Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline essential
• Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes and ACOPs
• Understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP within Hospital buildings
• Demonstrated high level of organisation & time management skills in priorities
• Sound fault finding techniques and ability to read drawings

Responsibilities

• To ensure prompt completion of all work orders for planned maintenance, reactive response, sub-contract and remedial work orders
• Provide routine and specialised engineering maintenance and breakdown support to a specific hospital site
• Provide health, safety and environmental support & assistance and model company policies
• Provide training, mentoring and hands-on assistance to Site Technicians or Engineering Assistants
• Provide engineering support and advice to Local Hospital managers
• Demonstrate a can-do culture based on exemplary engineering standards
• Help build and develop a strong team ethos
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training
