Job summary

IWFM seeks an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee facilities, maintenance, and infrastructure across two sites, Leicestershire and a remote site with occasional visiting. This hands-on role ensures safety, compliance and full operation.

You will lead the Facilities Team, manage PPM and reactive maintenance, coordinate budgets, and support audits, with travel between sites required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Facilities Manager, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience in precision engineering or a similar highly regulated industry is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, TPM and statutory compliance.
• Good practical maintenance and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing contractors, budgets and multiple projects.
• Experience using continuous improvement techniques.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, including confidence communicating at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities and site maintenance operations.
• Lead, support and develop the Facilities Team.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Ensure plant, equipment and infrastructure are maintained to required standards.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance works, including obtaining quotes and communicating plans.
• Manage contractors, permits and relevant documentation.
• Work closely with Production and other departments on facilities requirements.
• Manage utilities, site services and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor contractor performance and service levels.
• Manage the facilities and maintenance budget.
• Support audits, inspections and statutory compliance.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Travel to the other site as required (2.5 hours away).
