Job summary

Holt Engineering is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth running of three sites in Dorset. The role combines hands-on maintenance with project management to drive efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement.

You'll work closely with the senior leadership team, manage budgets, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and lead site improvement and sustainability initiatives across the business. Excellent communication and multi-site organisation are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous Facilities Management experience.
• Practical maintenance or trade skills (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or general building maintenance).
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance schedules.
• Budget management experience with a commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication with ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage facilities across three sites.
• Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance and projects.
• Lead site improvement and refurbishment projects.
• Manage facilities budgets, purchase orders and contractor costs.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
• Maintain accurate facilities records and approved contractor databases.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
• Support sustainability and environmental initiatives across the business.
