Job summary

Capita, in Middlesbrough, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair electrical systems across four sites (Middlesbrough and Redcar). This permanent, full-time role is based at our Middlesbrough headquarters and involves 40 hours per week with potential emergency cover duties.

The role offers a clear opportunity to contribute to safe, reliable facilities. You must be a qualified electrician with 17th Edition, and have knowledge of CCTV, access control, and fire alarm

Qualifications

• A qualified electrician with knowledge of access control and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.
• A practical, safety-focused approach to electrical maintenance and repairs.
• A team-focused approach, self-motivation and good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and preventative electrical maintenance and repairs across four sites: two in Middlesbrough and two in Redcar.
• Maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems within your level of competence.
• Apply your knowledge of access control and fire alarm systems to maintenance and fault-finding tasks.
• Investigate electrical faults and amplify issues requiring further support.
• Maintain adequate stocks of consumables and equipment.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times, completing work to a high standard.
