Job summary

Mitie is hiring a Building Maintenance Supervisor in London to lead a team of engineers across three Metropolitan Police sites. This hands-on supervisor role combines technical maintenance with people leadership to deliver safe, compliant, high-quality services on-site.

You will allocate work, guide the team, ensure health and safety standards, and build strong relationships with client stakeholders while maintaining a proactive approach across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical or electrical discipline).
• Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory or lead role.
• Strong understanding of building services and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of 8 engineers across 3 sites, ensuring effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Carry out hands-on mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled maintenance tasks.
• Allocate work, provide technical guidance, and support team development.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory requirements.
• Build strong working relationships with client stakeholders.
