Job summary

Insight Executive Group is recruiting an Engineering Supervisor to lead an on-site M&E team in South East London. You will oversee both planned and reactive maintenance across building services, coordinating engineers and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication and a solid background in electrical and mechanical systems, plus experience in facilities management and contractor oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a maintenance team and coordinating on-site engineers.
• Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance regimes (PPM).
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems in building services.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety, Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support a team of on-site engineers.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems.
• Coordinate daily engineering activities and prioritise service requests.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and Permit to Work procedures.
• Carry out routine audits and maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
• Provide a hands-on engineering presence when required.
