Job summary

The Wates Group is hiring a Multi Skilled Joiner to join our WPS team in Skelmersdale, delivering repairs and maintenance to social housing clients. You’ll fix on first visit where possible and work across trades to support responsive maintenance.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 in Joinery/Carpentry, a full UK driving licence and proven experience in social housing. You’ll record works using PDA or job systems and uphold safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Joinery/Carpentry (essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Experience delivering responsive social housing maintenance.
• Strong multitrade ability (e.g., basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling) is highly desirable.
• Ability to problem-solve, work independently, and communicate well with tenants and colleagues.
• A commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.
