Marks Sattin Ltd seeks a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee financial operations for two entities, including on-site construction projects. You will ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient processes while collaborating with senior leadership.

The role emphasizes cash flow forecasting, payroll administration, and statutory compliance, with responsibilities across planning, operations, and reporting in a multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in preparing and interpreting management accounts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and organisational ability.
• Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
• Experience in a regulated or multi-entity environment is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee rolling six-month cash flow forecasting and three-year forecasts with covenants.
• Manage daily bank reconciliations, invoicing, credit control and supplier reconciliations.
• Administer monthly payroll, pension auto-enrolment and statutory compliance.
• Prepare month-end/year-end accounts and support external audits.
• Monitor KPIs, report variances and handle CIS and VAT returns for development entity.
• Supervise project finance for development/construction and coordinate contract negotiations.
• Develop and implement improved financial processes and internal controls.
