Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a Van Driver to join our client in Ancoats, Greater Manchester. The role involves multi-drop delivery, delivering healthcare products to customers' homes, and providing a high standard of customer service.

Typical shifts are Monday to Friday with start times between 05:00 and 08:00. The advertised rate is £12.71 per hour with opportunities for overtime and permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category B driving licence is required.
• At least 12 months' van delivery driving experience.
• No more than three penalty points for minor offences.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Physically fit; lifting and carrying may be required.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in the Ancoats area of Greater Manchester.

This role would particularly suit applicants with previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving, home delivery or courier services.

Rates of Pay:

• £12.71 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 05:00 and 08:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Van Driver, you will work:

• Completing between 5 and 12 deliveries per day
• Delivering healthcare products to customers' homes
• Completing installations and handball duties as required
• Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
• Providing excellent customer service at all times

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

• A full UK Category B Driving Licence
• At least 12 months' van delivery driving experience
• No more than three penalty points for minor offences
• A positive and willing approach to work
• Excellent customer service skills
• A reasonable level of physical fitness, as lifting and carrying will be required

Desirable Experience:

• Previous van driving experience in a similar role
• Experience completing multi-drop deliveries
• Experience delivering to residential customers
• Experience within a customer-facing driving role

Training:

• A driver assessment will be completed prior to your first shift
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
