Job summary

Pertemps Bond are recruiting for a Postal Delivery Driver in Taunton to support Royal Mail on a temporary basis. The role involves delivering letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, with outdoor work in all weather.

Shifts are 37 hours per week at £13.69 per hour, starting immediately. You will sort deliveries at the local office, use a handheld device for signatures, and lift bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg. Driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max, clean licence preferred).
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle; walking up to 8 miles/day.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
