Job summary

Pertemps in Tonbridge is recruiting Postal Delivery Drivers to support Royal Mail on a temporary basis. The role starts towards the end of October, paying £13.69 per hour with 30–40 hours per week.

Shifts run Monday to Friday with weekend availability, between 8am and 8pm, starting at the local delivery office. Duties include sorting, loading, and delivering letters and parcels by foot or vehicle, using a handheld device for signature capture, and lifting mail bags up to 16kg.

Qualifications

• Customer service abilities are essential.
• Good time management and reliability.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max). Held for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
