Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in Gloucester for Royal Mail. This temporary role starts immediately with a 37-hour week, typically 7:30am–3pm, Monday to Friday and weekend availability on occasion.

You will load, navigate, and deliver letters and parcels, working outdoors in all weather conditions to serve local customers. Deliveries may involve walking up to 8 miles daily, lifting bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg, using a handheld device for signatures and route

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred). Need to have held your license for 6 months.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle - walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
