Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in Ashford to support Royal Mail on a temporary basis. The role involves outdoor delivery of letters and parcels, with a shift from 2:30pm to 8:30pm, 30 hours per week. Start date is immediate, with weekend work and a 2:30pm–8:30pm schedule.

The ideal candidate has a UK manual licence (6+ months), strong customer service, and comfort working outdoors in all weather. Training provided and performance-based pay rates apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently outdoors.
• Strong time management and reliability to meet delivery schedules.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied conditions.
• Full UK manual driving licence (held 6 months preferred); clean licence beneficial)

Responsibilities

• Start shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle, walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg.
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
