Job summary

The Best Connection Manchester is actively recruiting 6 experienced LWB Multi Drop Van Drivers to support our prestigious client operating from Manchester Airport and Trafford Park. This role promises ongoing work, a competitive pay rate, and immediate starts following successful vetting.

Pay starts at £14.25 per hour on Monday to Friday with overtime at £16.90 per hour. Shifts run 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, with additional overtime available across Manchester and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category B Driving Licence is required.
• Commercial multi-drop delivery experience (80+ drops per shift) preferred.
• Professional and customer-focused attitude and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Completing between 70 and 100 deliveries per day.
• Driving a Long Wheel Base (LWB) Van.
• Loading and unloading parcels and packages.
• Following planned delivery routes throughout Manchester and surrounding areas.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Working efficiently to meet delivery schedules and targets.

Pay Rates & Benefits

• Overtime paid on hours worked between 7:00pm and 8:00am (less 30-minute break)

The Role

As a Multi Drop Van Driver, your duties will include:

• Completing between 70 and 100 deliveries per day
• Driving a Long Wheel Base (LWB) Van
• Loading and unloading parcels and packages
• Following planned delivery routes throughout Manchester and surrounding areas
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Working efficiently to meet delivery schedules and targets

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Category B Driving Licence
• Previous LWB Van Driving Experience
• Commercial multi-drop delivery experience (80+ drops per shift)
• Comfortable with manual handling and loading/unloading duties
• Good geographical knowledge of Manchester, Trafford Park, Manchester Airport and surrounding areas
• Professional and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to start work at short notice following successful vetting

Security Vetting Requirements (Essential)

Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants must be able to provide:

• Full 5-year employment history
• 5 years of employment references
• 5-year address historyAccess to HMRC Gateway employment records
• Details to cover any gaps in employment history
• Ability to pass a DBS check

Insurance Requirements

• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Must meet insurance criteria for commercial vehicle operation
