Job summary

Alliance Healthcare Management Services Limited seeks an LGV 7.5T Driver Class 3 for Swansea Service Centre. 30 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 11:00–17:00, at £15.30 per hour. You will deliver assembled products and invoices efficiently within corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities include safe driving, daily vehicle checks, and reporting issues to ensure timely deliveries and good customer service. Familiarity with tachograph rules and route planning is essential.

Qualifications

• A full driving license held for the vehicle driven.
• Certificate of Professional Competence and electronic tachograph experience.
• Previous multi-drop delivery driving experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and competent driving, obey traffic laws, and consider road users.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.).
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• Adhere to tachograph laws and rest requirements.
• Ensure all PoDs on drop sheets are delivered and report shortages.
• Collect goods returned as instructed by transport staff.

Job Details

• Job Title: LGV 7.5T Driver Class 3
• Location: Swansea Service Centre
• Hours: 30 Hours Mon - Fri 11:00 - 17:00
• Rate: £15.30 per hour
• Job Scope: To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to the customer within corporate guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

• To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To abide by all tachograph laws and ensure daily/weekly rests are taken as required.
• Ensure all Proof of Deliveries listed on drop sheets have been delivered to customers and report any shortages to the transport department before leaving the customer.
• Upon receipt of collection request, collect goods returned from external customers as instructed by the transport staff.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• Ensure all trailer seal numbers are logged before departure and before opening at the service centre or external customer.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To maintain at all times good communications with the transport staff based at the service centre.
• To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Essential

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• Certificate of Professional Competence and electronic tachograph experience.
• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable.
• Route planning experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive attitude to Customer care and service.
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy.
• Conscientious with excellent attendance and time keeping history.
• Prepared to do light manual handling duties.

Additional Information

• Drivers are required to maintain a smart appearance due to their constant interaction with external customers.
• All staff are required to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher.
