Join our dedicated and passionate team as a Multi-Disciplinary Veterinary Care Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering the highest level of care to our patients. In this role, you'll assist with tasks in our High Dependency Unit and surgery/ward settings, ensuring excellent care for patients and service for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Walking patients, feeding, kennel cleaning, and laundry.
• Ordering supplies, preparing surgical theatres, sterilising instruments.
• Completing patient treatment sheets, admitting patients, recording weights, updating ward boards.
• Maintaining infection prevention standards.
• Supporting nurses and clinicians daily.

Skills Needed

Experience in animal care or handling, relevant qualifications preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent time management, attention to detail, effective communication, adaptability, professionalism, resilience, and flexibility to work additional hours when needed.

Working Pattern

Full-time, 40 hours/week, five 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break. Shifts scheduled between 07:00-20:30, following a weekly rota. One in six weekends off, two bank holidays per year.
