Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a casual site officer to cover Barking Abbey School and Eastbrook School, supporting the facilities team across both campuses. Responsibilities include general maintenance, security checks, caretaking and moving furniture.

Hours are flexible up to seven hours daily between 06:00 and 22:00 to fit around other commitments. The role requires a disclosure check and relevant facilities experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in general maintenance and facilities support.
• Disclosure check is required for the post.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks
• Ensure the security and upkeep of school buildings
• Conduct security checks
• Oversee cleaning
• Carry out caretaking duties
• Carry out manual handling, including moving furniture and equipment
• Keep school environments safe, well-maintained and comfortable for students, staff and visitors
• Work alongside other site officers and the facilities team across multiple campuses
