Job summary
PDQ Engineering Recruitment & Training Services Ltd seeks a skilled CNC Miller with multi-axis experience and CMM inspection capabilities. You will set up and run 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines, inspect parts with CMM, and contribute to quality improvements within an ISO 9001:2015 framework.
Applicants should have strong reading of drawings, experience with EDGECAM or similar, and an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ/City & Guilds. Weekend/overtime shifts may be paid at a premium.
Qualifications
- Experience in CNC programming is desirable (EDGECAM, FANUC or similar).
- Experience with a range of materials and tight tolerances.
- Extensive multi-axis CNC machining experience.
- Ability to perform 100% inspection with CMM desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret component drawings and instructions.
Responsibilities
- CNC machining and setting on multi-axis mills.
- Operate 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines.
- Perform CMM inspection and produce inspection reports as required.
- Use initiative to improve quality and throughput.
- Work to scheduled lists and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
