Job summary

PDQ Engineering Recruitment & Training Services Ltd seeks a skilled CNC Miller with multi-axis experience and CMM inspection capabilities. You will set up and run 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines, inspect parts with CMM, and contribute to quality improvements within an ISO 9001:2015 framework.

Applicants should have strong reading of drawings, experience with EDGECAM or similar, and an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ/City & Guilds. Weekend/overtime shifts may be paid at a premium.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC programming is desirable (EDGECAM, FANUC or similar).
• Experience with a range of materials and tight tolerances.
• Extensive multi-axis CNC machining experience.
• Ability to perform 100% inspection with CMM desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret component drawings and instructions.

Responsibilities

• CNC machining and setting on multi-axis mills.
• Operate 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines.
• Perform CMM inspection and produce inspection reports as required.
• Use initiative to improve quality and throughput.
• Work to scheduled lists and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Job description

Looking for a Skilled CNC Miller

We are seeking a skilled candidate with experience of multi axis CNC Machining, and Quality inspection including use of CMM

Your duties include:

• CNC Machining, and setting
• Operation of 3,4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines.
• Performing CMM inspection and production of inspection reports when required.
• Using initiative to improve quality/throughput etc
• Working to scheduled lists
• Operate within a S's manufacturing environment and to ISO 9001: 2015 Quality standards

EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrable experience of CNC programming is desirable - EDGECAM FANUC or similar but not essential
• Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances
• Thorough experience of multi axis CNC machining
• Use of inspection tools (able to perform 100% inspection) and CMM desirable
• Thorough experience of reading & interpreting component drawings and instructions
• Working to high quality standards

We operate a standard 37-hour week (4.5) days, with opportunity for overtime, weekend and shift work which is paid at a premium.
