Job summary

Waythrough in Lewisham is seeking a Senior Parental Substance Misuse Practitioner to lead high-quality interventions for parents within the Family Wellbeing Team, travelling across Lewisham sites as required. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop person-centred care plans, and provide effective health and psychosocial interventions to support recovery.

You’ll also supervise staff and work closely with Children’s Social Care and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children

Qualifications

• Experience of working with adults affected by drug and/or alcohol misuse.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
• Experience delivering psychosocial interventions.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop care plans for parents.
• Deliver health and psychosocial interventions to support recovery.
• Motivate parents to engage with substance misuse services.
• Provide line management to the Parental Substance Misuse Recovery Worker.
• Collaborate with the multi-agency Family Wellbeing Team on shared assessments and plans.
• Liaise with Children’s Social Care and health services to ensure safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement.
