Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leeds is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for the Made-to-Order (MTO) team. The role focuses on design, engineering and manufacturing activities for patient-specific implants, instruments and prototypes, ensuring technical robustness, compliance and timely delivery.

You will lead CAD/CAM/DFM activities, collaborate across functions, and contribute to continuous improvement with autonomy in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, biomedical or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Experience with CAD/CAM and engineering drawing standards.
• Quality- and compliance-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and case management of custom devices and prototypes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to meet customer requirements.
• Act as subject matter expert for CAD, CAM, CMM and manufacturing automation.
• Ensure DFM principles and GD&T are incorporated into outputs.
• Lead continuous improvement across design, engineering and manufacturing.
