Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Associate Operations Manager for the MSK Directorate. The role requires autonomous leadership to drive service delivery, performance, and strategic project execution within allocated resources.

You will collaborate with clinical and operational colleagues, senior medical staff and divisional leaders to develop pathways, improve services, and meet patient care targets while maintaining financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior operational management within a clinical area covering multiple specialities and pathways.
• Experience in improvement and service transformation.
• Experience in workforce planning to ensure service continuity.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Operations Manager and act with autonomy to restructure teams or adjust service delivery.
• Manage designated service areas to ensure delivery of targets within budgeted resources.
• Contribute to strategic and annual business planning with senior medical and staff input.
• Lead service improvement, capital projects and governance processes within the business unit.
