Hywel Dda University Health Board is advertising three Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (Musculoskeletal) posts across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. These roles focus on autonomous, patient-centred MSK care within CMATS and expanding across the integrated MSK pathway.

They require MSc-level training and HCPC registration, with leadership and advanced practice credentials. Applicants should be prepared to travel between sites, contribute to cross-disciplinary teams, and drive improvements

Qualifications

• Registered HCPC Physiotherapist.
• Master’s Degree or equivalent in relevant area.
• Advanced specialist knowledge of patient pathways.
• Advanced theoretical knowledge and practical experience to carry out clinical consultation and/or examination relevant to practice.
• Evidence of maintaining an Advanced Clinical Practice portfolio.
• Management/leadership qualification or possess equivalent skills and experience.
• In receipt or working towards Independent Authorisation of Blood Products (if relevant for role).
• Non-medical prescriber.
• Musculoskeletal Injection Therapy.
• IRMER Training
• Independent requesting of radiological investigation or willingness to complete

Responsabilités

• The post holder is identified as a clinical expert and is required to have a high clinical profile ensuring the provision of effective and efficient care.
• At this level each post holder is expected to work as a highly skilled senior practitioner and to have expert knowledge.
• The primary focus of the role is to work as an advanced, autonomous practitioner providing patient‑centred clinical care, encompassing the skills of musculoskeletal assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment and rehabilitation of patients.
• The posts are intended to provide improved outcomes for patients by improving timeliness and consistency of care.
• The successful candidates will support the development of this service providing leadership and clinical service delivery.
