Job summary

The Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine is seeking a Facility Manager to run the MRI MRF, overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating staff, and maintaining a safe, compliant working environment for research and NHS use.

You will lead regulatory approvals, including ethics submissions, ensure adherence to relevant regulations, and promote equitable access to the facility. Collaboration with NHS staff, researchers and users is essential to delivering a reliable MRI service.

Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine

You will manage the day-to-day running of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Major Research Facility (MRI MRF), including operational coordination, staff supervision, and ensuring a safe and compliant working environment. The role focuses on delivering a reliable service to research facility users, maintaining standards, setting up and applying for regulatory approvals such as ethics approvals for research studies, supporting compliance with relevant regulations, and ensuring equitable access to the facility. You will contribute to the smooth functioning of the MRI MRF through practical support and collaboration with colleagues and users. The MRI MRF is a clinical facility and supports some of the NHS services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As facility manager, you will interface with NHS staff and users and coordinate access to the facility’s MRI scanners for both research and NHS use.
