Job Summary

Due to the addition of a second MRI scanner at the QE site, we are seeking motivated and dynamic Radiographers with MRI experience, good communication skills, and a strong patient care focus to join our friendly team.

The ideal candidates will have extensive MRI experience, including a broad range of techniques and familiarity with NHS settings. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and to ensure high-quality radiology services.

A flexible, forward-thinking approach is essential to meet the challenges of a developing healthcare environment, including 7-day working and accreditation goals. Successful applicants will rotate between the QE site and the Community Diagnostic Hub at Metrocenter.

Main Duties

• Assist in providing a high-quality MRI service by performing clinical imaging duties.
• Report operational issues, contribute to service development, and promote good relations within the Trust.
• Handle challenging operational situations.
• Support the Radiology Services Manager in delivering excellent service.
• Train and supervise staff to optimize equipment use and meet service demands.
• Organize and prioritize workload for themselves and junior staff.
• Contribute to delivering a timely, high-quality MRI service.
• Adapt skills with technological advancements to enhance patient care.
• Act as first-line manager and supervisor for radiographers and students.
• Ensure safety in the magnetic environment for all staff, patients, and visitors.
• Participate in service development and accreditation efforts.
