Job summary

Philips is seeking an MRI Field Service Engineer to support MRI customers across the South East of England. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair MRI systems, working independently and in a regional team to maximise system performance.

You will travel extensively, provide expert technical support, and uphold Philips quality/regulatory standards while developing expertise in imaging modalities. A DBS check is required, and a company car is included.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Proven trouble-shooting and repair skills on complex medical systems.
• Good IT, networking and remote diagnostics knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate at an advanced technical level, providing expert technical support to customers and colleagues.
• Deliver field-based technical support according to training and product competencies.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance, installations, upgrades, and field change orders on MRI systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and network issues using documented procedures.
• Minimise downtime and maximise system availability through effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate service records per Philips QMS and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong customer relationships with professional communication.
• Participate in on-call rota and support customers as required.
• Support continuous improvement and share knowledge across the service organisation.
