Job summary

Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine at the University of Leeds is seeking a Facility Manager to run the MRI Major Research Facility. You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff and ensure a safe, compliant environment for research and NHS use.

The role requires a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, plus experience managing in a laboratory or research facility and strong communication with a team.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing in a relevant laboratory or research facility environment.
• Good communication skills with a team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the MRI MRF, including operational coordination and staff supervision.
• Ensure a safe, compliant working environment and equitable access for users.
• Set up and apply for regulatory approvals (ethics) for research studies; support compliance.
• Coordinate access to MRI scanners for research and NHS use with NHS staff and users.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high service standards.
