Job summary

MBDA UK in Bolton is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planning and Control Manager to lead the MP&SC team and ensure on-time delivery in a high-demand environment.

You will develop the MPS, manage SAP-based MRP, and collaborate with supply chain teams to optimise end-to-end planning and material flows. A degree and SAP/MRP experience are essential, with a BPSS clearance requirement in due course.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent.
• Supply Chain Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• APICS certification desirable but not essential.
• Experience using SAP or an equivalent MRP system is essential.
• Ability to lead and direct a team to achieve goals.
• Previous experience managing a team.
• Ability to influence and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to the MP&SC team.
• Develop the MPS in line with the production schedule.
• Manage the MPS within SAP enabling production and material orders.
• Collaborate with supply chain manufacturing teams to ensure end-to-end planning and validation of material supply plans.
• Contribute to the creation and delivery of the manufacturing supply chain strategy and end-to-end planning cycle.
• Act as technical and cultural lead for MP&SC focusing on process improvement and performance of the manufacturing supply chain.
• Champion the development of new tools, processes, skills and KPIs for MP&SC.
• Provide inputs to ensure effective delivery of the S&OP process.
• Develop and support SAP functionality ensuring MRP integrity and automated reporting.
• Take ownership of manufacturing planning processes and system improvements.
• Work with system analysts and SMEs to develop new system reports and processes.
• Support Manufacturing Operations to ensure accurate customer commitments, on-time delivery and end-to-end planning.
