Job summary

QUINTESSENTIAL BRANDS UK GROUP LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking a Tool Room Technician to maintain and repair tooling dies, jigs and fittings for mould tools, including stripping and reassembling moulds and using precision equipment.

You will work with hot runners, hydraulic repairs, and lifting operations, identifying waste and opportunities to improve quality, safety and reduce costs in a manufacturing setting. Experience in injection/rotational moulding is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of mould tools.
• Ability to diagnose and advise on tool repairs.
• Familiar with hot runner manifolds and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate condition and improvements needed in existing moulds and report progress.
• Disassemble, clean and re-assemble injection moulds.
• Conduct general tooling repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with major maintenance, refurbishments and modifications of parts.
• Perform advanced lifting and slinging operations as required.
• Troubleshoot moulds and observe tool condition during cleaning/conversion.
• Test electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic operation before returning to production.
• Be familiar with hot runner manifolds.
• Collaborate with colleagues to diagnose routine problems efficiently.
