Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department at General Motors. This onsite role requires reporting to Concord, NC, and involves developing mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing system design, testing, and implementation.

Responsibilities include:

1. Designing, developing, and integrating complex mechatronic systems for automotive testing.
2. Developing system architectures and specifications.
3. Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
4. Managing suppliers and evaluating components.
5. Conducting system testing and analysis.
6. Overseeing prototype and production solutions.
7. Preparing technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
• Experience with embedded systems and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
• Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and control systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in related fields.
• Experience in automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
