Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop mechatronic systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development processes for motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions to technical and engineering challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  1. Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive and aerodynamic testing applications.
  2. Create detailed system architectures and specifications.
  3. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop innovative solutions.
  4. Liaise with external suppliers and evaluate components and technologies.
  5. Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging to ensure performance and reliability.
  6. Oversee delivery of prototypes and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, and software integration.
  7. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with proven success.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages (C, C++, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in related fields.
  • Experience with automotive, motorsports, and aerodynamics testing.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of control systems and theory.
