Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems that enhance the productivity and capabilities of our aerodynamics development activities for both motorsport and high-performance production vehicles. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will design, develop, and optimize state-of-the-art solutions to address challenging technical obstacles, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and help shape the future of motorsports.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and other teams to integrate data from various platforms (on-prem and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, third-party vendors).
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data processing workflows for speed and reliability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed computing management systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, HPC architecture, instrumentation, Data Acquisition systems, live streaming data pipelines, aerodynamic testing.
