Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, requiring the successful candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your primary responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and data-processing systems that enhance our aerodynamics development activities for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to tackle technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do

1. Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large volumes of data from multiple sources.
2. Collaborate with data engineers and teams to integrate data from various platforms and systems.
3. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through validation and monitoring.
4. Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in data workflows.
5. Work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
6. Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
7. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
• Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Master’s degree in related fields.
• Experience in motorsports industry.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security.
• Experience with HPC architecture.
• Hands-on with Data Acquisition systems.
