Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, requiring the successful candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We seek a highly skilled Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be developing complex data pipelines and systems to enhance our aerodynamics development activities for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions that address technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Integrate data from various platforms (on-prem and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, vendors).
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency through automated validation and monitoring.
  • Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in data workflows.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Engineers, and Aerodynamicists to develop efficient data solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable code adhering to best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in data engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, HPC architecture, instrumentation, Data Acquisition systems.
  • Experience with live streaming data pipelines and aerodynamic testing.
