Job Description

GM Motorsports supports racing in multiple series including NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled CAD Engineer to join our elite team. In this role, you will design and develop racecar components and systems from initial concept to production, utilizing CAD software and finite-element analysis.

Responsibilities

1. Design parts and systems using CATIA and FEA tools.
2. Collaborate with race program teams and share knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
3. Support end users or customers post-delivery as needed.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive, motorsports, or aerospace industries.
3. Proficiency in CAD (CATIA or 3DX) and FEA tools (HyperMesh, Abaqus).
4. Strong understanding of materials, rapid prototyping, and part design.
5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
6. Passion for motorsports and vehicle dynamics knowledge.

Additional Information

This position is onsite in Concord, NC, with potential relocation benefits. GM does not sponsor immigration for this role. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in relevant fields.
