Job Description

This onsite role requires reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis. GM Motorsports supports racing series including NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. We seek a motivated CAD Engineer to design and develop racecar components, from concept to production, using CAD software and finite-element analysis. Responsibilities include designing parts, optimizing with FEA, participating in design reviews, and supporting end-users post-delivery.

What You'll Do

• Use Catia for parts design and analysis
• Collaborate with race program teams with a client-focused approach
• Share knowledge and innovate in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related
• 3+ years’ experience in automotive, motorsports, aerospace industries
• Proficiency in CAD (CATIA/3DX) and FEA tools (HyperMesh, Abaqus)
• Knowledge of materials, rapid prototyping, and part design
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Passion for motorsports and vehicle dynamics knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in related fields
