Job summary

YOKOHAMA Europe is seeking a UK Motorsport & Technical Manager to lead the motorsport tyre programme across UK racing series. You will act as the primary technical interface between the company, race teams, championships and regulators, with extensive trackside presence.

The role combines hands-on tyre performance work with strategic relationship management, translating tyre data into actionable guidance for teams and internal stakeholders, including weekend duties during race season.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in motorsport tyre technical/engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of UK motorsport championships, regulations and scrutineering processes.
• Hands-on experience with tyre data analysis (pressures, temperatures, wear).
• Excellent communication skills with engineers, drivers and championship officials.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer tyre warranty claims and determine resolutions.
• Provide technical support to customers, dealers, vehicle manufacturers and the sales team.
• Attend industry tyre technical meetings and communicate regulatory changes to UK/EU stakeholders.
• Review tyre specifications and data for brochures and marketing materials.
• Deliver technical product training and support at exhibitions and industry events.
• Attend shows and motorsport events as technical/marketing support.
• Advise dealers and customers on tyre suitability, setup and performance for motorsport.
• Organise and conduct tests of products at race circuits.
