Job summary

Ips Group is seeking an experienced Head of Motoring (Partner or Senior Associate) to lead and grow the motoring practice from its Manchester office. The role offers hybrid working and a competitive salary with a bonus potential, focusing on high-quality motoring work and strategic development of the practice.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, attend police station interviews, handle SJPNs and complex Crown Court matters while mentoring colleagues and driving business

Qualifications

• Significant motoring law experience required.
• Strong client care and advocacy skills.
• Experience representing clients in Magistrates' Court and Crown Court.
• Ability to lead and grow a department.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-quality caseload in motoring matters.
• Attend police stations for motoring-related interviews.
• Advise on pre-charge motoring cases and SJPNs.
• Handle magistrates' and crown court cases, including serious offences.
• Provide strategic legal guidance and client instruction.
• Develop department growth and contribute to BD activities.
