Job summary

Vertu BMW Motorrad Sunderland is seeking a skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our growing team. You will service, maintain and repair motorcycles, using the latest manufacturer diagnostics, while performing health checks and tests to ensure top-tier quality.

You will inspect, road test and document all work, delivering excellent customer service and safety standards in a modern workshop environment. Relevant qualifications and a full licence are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Full motorcycle licence is essential.
• MOT licence advantageous but not essential.
• Franchise experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on motorcycles.
• Diagnosing faults using manufacturer technology and equipment.
• Carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying additional work.
• Conducting inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Road testing motorcycles and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Completing workshop documentation and job records accurately.
• Maintaining productivity targets with quality and safety in mind.
• Delighting customers with exceptional workmanship and service.

What you'll be doing As a Motorcycle Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service and technical excellence. Working within our modern workshop, you'll be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on new and used motorcycles.
• Diagnosing faults using the latest manufacturer technology and equipment.
• Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required.
• Conducting inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Road testing motorcycles and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Accurately completing all workshop documentation and job records.
• Working efficiently to achieve productivity targets while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.
• Delivering an outstanding customer experience through high-quality workmanship.
• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• A full motorcycle licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A commitment to delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
• An MOT licence (advantageous but not essential).
• Previous franchise experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
