Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join a further education provider in London, delivering motor vehicle programmes to learners aiming for careers in the automotive industry. This is a permanent role with an ASAP start date.

You will plan and deliver practical and theory-based sessions, assess learner progress, maintain a safe, well-organised workshop in line with health and safety requirements, and help learners achieve qualifications and progress to employment

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience in motor vehicle repair, maintenance or related trade.
• A recognised motor vehicle qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage and motivate learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver motor vehicle lessons meeting learners' needs.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop in line with health and safety.
• Support learners to achieve qualifications and progress to employment or further study.
• Keep up to date with developments in the motor vehicle industry and reflect in teaching.
