Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join our further education provision in London, delivering motor vehicle programmes to learners aiming for careers in the automotive industry. This is a permanent role with an ASAP start.

You will plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based sessions, assess learner progress, maintain a safe workshop, and support learners to achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience in motor vehicle repair, maintenance or a related trade.
• A recognised motor vehicle qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering motor vehicle lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive, timely feedback.
• Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with health and safety requirements.
• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress towards employment or further study.
• Keeping up to date with developments in the motor vehicle industry and reflecting these in your teaching.
