Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle in London to deliver motor vehicle programmes to learners aiming for careers in the automotive industry. This permanent role offers an ASAP start and involves planning and delivering engaging sessions, both practical and theory-based, to develop learners' technical skills.

You will assess progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain a safe workshop environment while helping learners progress to employment or further study.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience in motor vehicle repair, maintenance or a related trade.
• A recognised motor vehicle qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (desirable).
• Experience teaching or assessing in further education (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver motor vehicle lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive, timely feedback.
• Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with health and safety requirements.
• Support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress towards employment or further study.
• Keep up to date with developments in the motor vehicle industry and reflect these in teaching.
