Durham Constabulary seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair its fleet, from cars and vans to light LCVs, ensuring MOT readiness and blue-light specifications.
Based at Peterlee Warehouse, the role is full-time, Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm, with a permanent contract. Applicants should have City & Guilds level III/’A’ Levels/BTEC National in Motor Vehicle Technicians or NVQ3 and at least five years of technical experience.
Salary: Scale 6 £33,603 - £37,020 per annum

To maintain and repair all vehicles assets owned and operated by Durham Constabulary ranging from cars high and low performance to LCV’s, minor and major repairs, servicing, MOT work along with some periodic conversion/vehicle alterations in line with blue light operational requirements.
Motorcycle repair experience is advantageous but not essential.
