Job summary

Farnborough College of Technology on the Farnborough Campus is seeking a full-time Technician with Motor Vehicle qualifications to support apprentices and full-time students in the Aerospace and Automotive Academy. You will maintain equipment, ensure safety, and help staff deliver practical training.

Applicants should have a recognised Motor Vehicle qualification and practical industry experience, and be enthusiastic about engaging FE learners to help them reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Motor Vehicle qualification.
• Experience of working with Motor Vehicles in a professional setting preferred.
• Ability to engage FE students and support their learning.

We are looking to recruit a full-time Technician with a Motor Vehicle qualification, and experience of working in the industry, who is seeking a change in career, or applicants already working in Further Education and are keen to progress their career.

Working at our prestigious engineering facility the Aerospace and Automotive Academy on the Farnborough Campus the post is supporting apprentices and fulltime students who are working towards their motor vehicle qualifications. Duties include ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained, inspected and records are kept, maintaining safe working environment, preparing materials and equipment for practical activities; as well as working within a team to support the teaching staff and students to achieve their training and assessments.

Applicants will hold a recognised Motor Vehicle qualification, plus practical experience of working with Motor Vehicles. In addition, you need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can engage with FE students to ensure that they reach their full potential.
