Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join the automotive provision in Rotherham. You will deliver engaging theory and practical lessons within well-equipped workshops, helping learners develop the skills and knowledge required for successful careers in the automotive sector.

The role requires an industry background, a relevant motor vehicle qualification, and a teaching qualification (assessor award desirable).

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant Motor Vehicle discipline.
• Significant industry experience within the automotive sector.
• Teaching qualification and assessor award are desirable, with employer support possible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality practical and theory-based lessons in Motor Vehicle subjects.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning resources.
• Assess student progress through practical observations, assignments, and portfolio evidence.
• Provide constructive feedback and support students to achieve their full potential.
• Prepare learners for employment, apprenticeships, qualifications, and industry expectations.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, engagement, and academic progress.
• Support students with individual learning needs and work collaboratively with support teams.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in open days, recruitment events, and employer engagement activities.
