Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a motivated Motor Vehicle Instructor in Kingston upon Hull, delivering practical and theory-based motor vehicle sessions in a supportive educational setting.

The ideal candidate holds IMI Level 3 or NVQ Level 3, with a teaching or assessing qualification or willingness to work towards one. You will support learners, adapt delivery for SEND/SEMH, and work in a collaborative team to foster confidence and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have IMI Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in motor vehicle maintenance/repair.
• Teaching or assessing qualification (AET/TAQA/PGCE) or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience working with young people or a strong desire to move into education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theory-based motor vehicle sessions.
• Teach maintenance, repair, and core mechanical skills.
• Adapt delivery to support learners with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs.
• Break down technical concepts into clear, simple steps.
• Support learners' confidence, behaviour, and employability skills.
• Maintain a safe, organised workshop environment with strong health & safety standards.
• Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
• Work closely with teaching, pastoral, and support staff.
