Job summary

A UK motor and home insurer is seeking a technically experienced vehicle repair professional to support accurate, fair and efficient repair, total loss and claims decisions. You will combine strong technical judgement with clear communication to customers, repairers and third parties.

The role offers hybrid working, a salary of £31,500–£33,000 depending on experience, plus a 4.5% average annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days’ leave, a YOUday, volunteering day,

Qualifications

• Experience in the vehicle repair industry across mechanical/body/accident repair environments.
• Strong understanding of vehicle construction and repair methodologies.
• Experience with estimating systems used in vehicle repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, engineer and authorise vehicle repair costs in line with manufacturer repair methods and claim circumstances.
• Produce inspection reports and provide technical guidance on complex repair queries.
• Make informed total loss decisions, including vehicle valuations.
• Clearly communicate technical decisions to customers, repairers and third parties.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and opportunities to improve claims efficiency.
• Manage work effectively within KPIs, quality standards and SLAs.

• A proactive, organised approach with a focus on quality, service and fair customer outcomes.
