Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire in Basildon is seeking a Motor Mechanic to maintain and repair our van and car fleet across the UK, ensuring safety and legal compliance for hire. Applicants should have Level 2 Technician qualification with 3+ years’ experience or Level 3 Technician/Machan ic, and IMI accredited training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair our vehicle fleet to ensure safety and compliance.
• Work on vans and cars across UK branches.
• Participate in training programs to upskill in EV and hybrid systems.

Weekly Hours: 42.5 hours / Day Shifts Only. As and when required overtime is available and this is paid at time and half.

About you:
As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for our customers to hire. If you are Level 2 Qualified Technician with at least 3 years employment as a technician/mechanic or fully qualified Level 3 Technician / Mechanic, we would love to hear from you.
About our training:
We have our own internal IMI accredited training department, where we can upskill you on such things as Hybrid & EV vehicle repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics etc:

For those trained to Level 2, you can take a training needs analysis so we can build a personalised training program for you to increase your skillset.
